Caswell & Rockingham Counties Photo Outing - Old architecture - Barns, - Abandoned Buildings, etc
Anyone interested,
Richard Terpolilli, Ron Santini & Steve Gorin will be making an unorganized exploration to Caswell, and Rockingham counties. The date has been pushed back to Tuesday June 30.
We are leaving sharply at 6am from the Sun UP Cafe, Mooresville. It is approximately a one hour drive.
I have no timeline for returning, there is no structure and no specific destination in mind, except for the above named counties. The fun is just to explore and learning the areas, stopping and photographing and to expect the unexpected. Anyone wanting to “follow" along with the "unorganized is welcome." Do your own thing, lunch when you want, stay at a site as long as you want, make a day of it if you choose, and have fun.
Architecture has no design limitations. The idea is to celebrate early North Carolina's Americana grass roots. Cruising the back roads of Rural Caswell and Rockingham Counties provides the absolute best areas to find abandoned historic sites highly endorsed by Marc Bernstein. This architecture of rustic, weathered tobacco barns, silos, decaying farmhouses, abandoned buildings, and cruising the backroads from the county seat of Yanceyville.
Have a splendid weekend,
Rich
